Welcome, fellow caffeine addicts!

Are you adequately caffeinated and wearing your comfiest pair of yoga pants?  If yes, then you’re in good company. Welcome, babe.  If not, what are you doing?! Get changed, ASAP.

Hi, I’m Victoria* and I’m a twenty-six-year-old woman living in Auckland.  Like most millennials, I love a good flat white, avocado on toast and wearing yoga pants when I’m not going to yoga.  I constantly think ‘I need to ask an adult about that…’ only to realize hello, I am the adult. When did that happen?!

I am a lot of things: sister, daughter, friend, caffeine-addict, bookworm, and brunch addict. I’m also a mother and Masters student. I guess I can add ‘blogger’ to my list of identifiers, too.

The phrase “once a blogger, always a blogger” springs to mind as I’ve had a fair amount of blogs over the years: angsty teenage blogs, lifestyle blogs, a ~*saucy*~ blog, and even a mum blog.  You name it, I’ve written about it.  In too much detail.

Here I am again, under a new name and a new blog.

The Caffeinated Millennial is my little slice of paradise.  It is me, in internet form.

I created this blog as a creative outlet and a way to connect with other people who are sitting there wondering how the hell they became the adult in any given scenario.  I thought being twenty-six meant having your life together and knowing exactly what comes next.

Well, I can confirm that absolutely everyone I know is winging it.  Fake it ’til you make it, right?

The Caffeinated Millennial aims to detail my journey to becoming an adult, including posts about career, parenting, food, study, and some Netflix.  Just to make sure all the bases are covered.

Without further adieu, welcome – once again – to The Caffeinated Millennial!  Let’s do this thing.

*Due to the nature of my future career, I want to remain anonymous on the internet. There’s nothing like a little mystery to keep things interesting, am I right? Victoria is my pseudonym but you better believe everything to hit this blog is completely and unreservedly real.
